On Finay, NFTs are created using lazy minting, meaning they aren’t immediately added to the blockchain. Instead, the NFT is officially minted—recorded on the blockchain—only once it’s purchased. This approach helps reduce initial costs for creators and streamlines the buying process.
How to Confirm Your NFT on the Blockchain
Once your NFT has been purchased, it’s minted and permanently recorded on the blockchain. You can confirm this by:
Clicking on the Media Item
Go to the media you’ve purchased and click on it to view the item details.
Viewing the Contract Address
In the item info section, you’ll see an option to view the Contract Address. This link will direct you to the blockchain, where you can verify the NFT’s existence, ownership, and transaction history.
This transparency is one of the benefits of blockchain, ensuring every NFT’s authenticity and ownership history is verifiable.
